Women Artists of Seattle Unite.

The Isis Women Arts Festival is a celebration of feminine creativity in Seattle. The event brings together women-identified artists for an evening of music, art and perfomance at Mokedo Gallery. Now in it's 8th year, the festival is an opportunity experimentation and networking within the local community of women artists.

I'll be there with my garden of pussyflowers, and I’d love you to join me! The public is welcome on Saturday from 6-10 PM at Mokedo Gallery in Sodo. It's a chance to meet local artists working in diverse disciplines. There will be dancing, visual art, snacks and creative inspiration all around.

It’s hard being a woman in the art world. It's one of the worst industries for gender inequity.  I’m so grateful to the Isis Women Arts collective for providing this community-building opportunity. The festival kicked off yesterday with a pot-luck for the artists, and was thrilled to meet my fellow “goddesses shattering the mold.”

Here are the details. I hope to see you there!
